2100 Greenwood is a unique live/work community located in Evanston Illinois just north of Chicago.  We purchased an old rolled steel cutting factory complete with overhead cranes.   Rather than knock down the building we decided to take an adaptive reuse construction approach to our project.  We used most of the building's structural steel, brick and design elements to create a architecturally unique 27 unit loft community with 12 to 20 foot ceilings and 1000 to 2700 square foot live/work lofts.  The project is well underway and will be opening in 2009.  This project is a great alternative to townhomes, duplexes and traditional condos. Here are a few photos showing our adaptive reuse architecture and construction of 2100 the Greenwood Lofts community.
